Been diverted a bit lately by other stuff (mostly AA and 1/600 aircraft again I am afraid).

I don't think I put these up before of the QRF Stryker in 15mm.

Inf are the PP USMC range but haven't done enough for CWC and the other system but for those who are looking at a 15mm army for CWC not a bad place to start

Nice Si, NiceGrin

Browsed your site and noticed your 6mm terrainStunned Please tell me the railway track ISNT the hornby track set...

It will only make me f*** up my dining room table trying to make my own in the same mannerConfused

Is that also a scratch built girder bridge?

The Raily way track really is the hornby track set...Cool

The 1/4 scale planning kit is approx 1/300 and you get loads of it. IIRC we had a thread on it a while ago somewhere

The girder bridge is a couple of 2 pieces of styrene strip put either side of a track section.

I bought two packs off evil-bay earlier this year so have shedloads of the stuff. I was looking for inspiration rather than just chucking the stuff on the table.

Gues I have found that inspirationGrin

Winter terrain project added to my to do list!

Hi Si which club do you play at in Cheltenham. I am at the Cheltenham wargames association in St Marks. We are just getting into CWC and should be able to sort out some games.

Thanks

Warchiefs at the Cricket Club. I've had a couple of exchanges with Chris Russell about some 1/600th stuff over at your place but real world keeps getting in the way and I can only do every other monday at present.

Si

just out of interest what is the basing on the 6mm railway track and how the devil did you cut the curves so well?

Cheers

3mm MDF for one of the university resouce sites (dirt cheap).
basing was some fine ballast from a railway shop and the rest is the GW static grass that I have used on all my stuff to make it blend in.

I don't want to appear a spotter but the hornby curves have a printed radius in mm for the centre points and are in 22.5 and 45 degree lengths. I just reduced that to 6mm scale and made them an inch wide and used a circular cutter thingy from Hobbycraft for the arc and a protractor to make the edges straight. IIRC I cut three different radii from the same piece of MDF at the same time.
