Does anyone know what all the parts of this model are? I have been looking prior to getting my fingers stuck together with super glue and I can see the launcher, the rader and their trailers, the missiles and the crew. But then I have 6 squarish pieces and 6 tripod like pieces. The only pictures I have found with it assembled are on http://www.microarmormayhem.com/Units_UK.html and they aren't shown.

On another note, I have 3 FH70 guns and I was thinking of putting them under camo nets, has anyone done this in 1/300th or am I a little deranged to try?

I think that the 'tripod like things' are the optical sighting units - Rapier can be radar or optically guided!

Cheers

Jules

PS I think someone (possibly Irregular?) makes guns under cammo netting!

For cammo net I use the old Lagton cloth mesh he sold for 1/1200 scale sailing ship ratlines. Think this is no longer avaliable, but any fine mesh cloth which takes paint and pva will do it.

Rapiers - lanucher unit has the base, with 4 missiles, the tripod is a sighting unit, and the small square thing is a generator. Have to say that my rapiers are used for anything but, some bases are fitted with M16 turrets, they have been used as SF......

I sprayed the stuff that you get punnets of fruit wrapped in.

Try an old pair of ladies tights stretched over the model - (not your own - you'll need those for the weekendWinkSillyBlush!!!)

That will work, if fine enough, and allows you to cheat, a round section, some representation of a dug out, and there you have a gun position. I've never done it, but had it done to me.

For camouflage netting, I wonder whether tulle (sp? -- the stuff ballet tutus are made out of) might work for the netting if you use a dark color, spray it with some sort of adhesive, and then sprinkle some flock on it.

I've never tried it, mind you -- just musing out loud.

Something that works nicely in 28mm is bandage stretched out with PVA [& tea leaves added] - you could use this, with finer grinds [herbs?] in 6mm...beauty of bandage is that it's really malleable when soaked with dilute PVA & therefore you can poke / prod / stretch it as it dries...I've got pics in 28mm of what I've done with this here: http://www.ambushalleygames.com/forum/viewtopic... and here: http://www.ambushalleygames.com/forum/viewtopic...

Grass scatter works well as well, if more costly (and I have a tea allergy....)
