Spent part of the afternoon working on another unit for my Ultra Modern conflicts.
http://minipattons.blogspot.com/
Have based up a Type 56 Tank Regiment, Mechanized Infantry Battalion, and Support Units as well.
I have a pair of attack helos around here somewhere for them as well...

I asked on TMP, but no joy there. Anyone happen to know how the Scimitars are divided up in between the three troops in the unit (command, recon, ISTAR)?
It's the only thing left for me to put on bases.

They were used in the tank Regiments as Recce troops.
They were also used in the light cavalry units like blues and royals, and lancers as all recce Regiments to create a recce screen.
For command stands the other CVRT family would be used Sultan, Spartan

Sean,
I'm using the information from here:
http://www.armedforces.co.uk/army/listings/l0019.html
Just trying to figure out how to base that 1:1.

I would put 2 in headquarters troop,
3 in ISTAR troop and 3 in Recce troop.
In time of conflict the training troop would be amalgamated.

You should see the Russian horde...and American horde...and German...and French.
The things are so darn cheap, it's hard not to go overboard.

Yes, I was only ordering a few things to fill gaps and bought £80 odd and mainly Soviet tanks as well! I must do them some time!
