Posted on 14 August 2015 at 00:20:42 GMT I bought some M60 bridging, some gepards and some tracked Rapiers. I think I've stuck them together properly but I have bits left over! Gepard - hull, turret base, turret barrels. rapier - hull, missile turret at rear M60 - hull, two piece bridge unit. I still have 4 small, what look like parallel tubes / bars joined at one end (u shape) about 5mm long. The other has metal joining it but it looks like part of the casting process. Cannot see where this might fit in.... Anywhere... Any ideas? A |

Posted on 14 August 2015 at 10:14:15 GMT Those u shaped pieces look like the radar unit from the tracked rapier model. They sit in front of the missile turret. |

Posted on 14 August 2015 at 11:28:32 GMT The other two 'bits' (in the photo) are the radar array base & twin-auto cannons for the Gepard. Stick the twin barreled gun bit on top of the round (bottom left) radar array & then the whole lot goes on top of the Gepard hull (top). No idea about the other 4 bits ... sorry |

Posted on 14 August 2015 at 11:58:36 GMT Steve, any pics of the radar arrays in place on the tracked rapier. I've never bothered to fit them, but would be interesting to see where they go. Cheers, Andy |

Posted on 14 August 2015 at 12:56:16 GMT If it's definitely part of the Rapier then I can get on with painting my Belgian stuff! A |

Posted on 14 August 2015 at 13:59:43 GMT Presumably they are the bits sticking up one the back of this example. They normally seem to be folded down in most examples. Cheers, Andy |

Posted on 14 August 2015 at 17:17:12 GMT Ooooh, errrr, that sounds worrying If you look at some google images after searching tracked rapier, you should see quite a few with that frame & radar dish in a horizontal (presumably stowed) position. It looks like it will probably be easier to attach that way. Prime Portal (primeportal.net) also has a full walkaround so you can see it in more detail if needed. MarkJ |

Posted on 14 August 2015 at 19:04:01 GMT im certain the bit on the ground mounted rapier last photo on mad axe and post is the Firers position where he looks into the Radar. You can just see him hunched over at the front of it. But not painted as a soldier but as a piece of the kit. Regards Sean |

Posted on 14 August 2015 at 20:42:44 GMT I've just assembled three tracked Rapiers, this time with the little tuning fork structures. They actually fit quite well, but suspect they are going to get flattened during play/storage. Cheers, Andy |
