Netherlands Air Force were training with 3 Chinooks out of Carlisle Airport and the ranges at Spadeadam. Good detail for Dutch model painters perhaps? Now you too can be a Dutch Master!Cool I would post video footage too. Is that possible? Photos anyway. Enjoy

The base was very "Eye Level", and 2 of the 3 Chinooks just came and went a few times as i was there.Doing dramatic sweeping circles before coming down the main runway and turning towards their base. Following them on their take off again was a test for my video skills too!Grin

That must have been where all the interesting things had gone - we were down in Pembroke this week and didn't see any shiny toys flying about and normally there's loads!

We did see the gate guards at Castlemartin, ofc, and quite a few CVR(T) series on the ranges. And shed loads of squaddies on push bikes. Are we starting a new "light infantry" TOE to deal with the cuts?!
