Inspired by the work of many members here, i ve desided to start my own cold war collection in 1/285 for CWC.
The first unit will be a M.R. Battalion in BMP, using the 1/5 scale ORBAT sugested by Andy Rix (ColdWarGamer) for the Late 80s, so i ve started with the BMPs.
Unfortunately - for my troubled mind - GHQ (my company of choise) doesnt make BMP-1Ps so i had to convert them, i allso dislike bendy barrels so i replased them with brash ones...

BMP-1P

Very nice! Both conversion and paintjob Smile

Hint: I use to "paint away" massive supports like that below the ATGW with black. Maybe it works for you too.

Wow, great work, amazing, these look like 15mm rather than 6mm.

Blimey, they're cracking - as others have said I'd be dead proud of those in 15mm let alone 6mm!

An insane amount of work in 6mm Smile

I now feel ashamed that I was thinking about BMP-1P the other day and decided it was too much trouble in 6mmGrin

Thank youGrinGrinGrin

HobbitMiles, it was not an easy thing to do, even with some compromizes the smoke granades launchers where about 20 pieses of plastic. I have 2 more BMP-1Ps to do (for the next battalion) so i will try to post some WIP photos if you like.

I could look at work of that quality all day long - I doubt I could reproduce it though Smile

My solution was to ask H&R to make one Grin

Oh, I meant to ask, did you make the gun barrels or buy them?
