All,

I've been busy working on forces for 5Core Brigade Commander again. I put "Canadian" because it's not the most historically accurate force you'll see, but it will have to do. The primary driver of this is that I'm 1) lazy, and 2) cheap. As I've mentioned previously, I bought about 90% of my microarmor second hand, and got some really good deals, but that means you don't always get exactly what you're looking for, sometimes you make do with 'close enough,' and that's certainly the type of gamer I am Wink

The entire force, in all its splendor. The Canadian CO gives a shout out to Tim, AKA Ditto Two-Three Wink

The brigade: three 'line battalions' (two armor heavy, one mech heavy), a CO, an engineer company, an SP TOW company, and attachments for AAA, SAM, mortars, HMGs, ATGMs, and two Lynk helos w/ATGMs.

To see the whole force (in about 20 more photos), please visit the blog at:

For "LAZY","CHEAP" and "CLOSE ENOUGH", it looks wonderful.
This should encourage others to have a go at putting together armies!!GrinCool

Looks good indeed. I look forward to some batreps - I've been kind of on the look out for something in the "about a stand for a battalion" sized game. Does it do "operational" level stuff - supply, logistics, sort of thing?

TP,

I've thought about battalion a stand, too. Regarding supply and logistics, I know there is a nod to it, but nothing too in-depth, and it's in the book amongst the optional rules. I'll take a look and get back to you.

Cheers Jack, I'm really after something with Megablitz like multi day supply and recovery but with a bit more depth of play...

TP,

Well, I've got bad news. The supply stuff is really, really simple, very much only wave-top, fingertip deep.

Now, and I don't mind being seen as a fanboi of the rules (as anyone that's taken a look at my blog knows, I absolutely love the 5Core system), so I'll say this: the basic rules mechanisms for activation, movement, and combat are so simple and straightforward that it is extraordinarily easy to overlay your own 'chrome' to whatever you want, and I'll be damned if you're gonna 'break' the rules.

If you're interested in exploring we can certainly discuss logistics, but we should probably go to my blog or e-mail (bigjackmac AT hot mail dot com), as I don't want to get into a different set of rules on BKC/CWC/FWC's website.

No probs, ta Grin

The 5Core system looks interesting, I grabbed the cheap old edition PDF - I don't have a direct use for it atm, but I'll ponder.
