Posted on 07 January 2015 at 21:53:33 GMT Hi, This time, I'm proudly presenting you my US ARMY forces: -US III. Corps, 2nd Armoured Division. I want to build a large REFORGER force, so I chose the 1st Brigade/2nd Armor -the only one with 4 battalions -2 armored, 2 mechanized infantry (the second was more important to me, I'd like to build a large mechanised force). First, here are my O8 made M1(A1) Abrams tanks -beautifully sculpted ones, it was easy to paint them. They received a mixed camo, and a different basing -both will help me to make a difference between companies. |

Posted on 07 January 2015 at 22:11:00 GMT Supporting elements: 17th Combat Engineer Battalion's M728 (still waitong for some AVLBs..) A HEMTT is just an objective marker. FAO (All my HQ units are on 20mm round bases -also my FAO/FAC units -FAOs are represented by armored units, FACs by jeep/softskin vehicles. A FAO/FAC is represented by 1 miniature/base, HQs by 2 -3+, and 40mm bases will represent COs) |

Posted on 08 January 2015 at 13:35:36 GMT Yeah, I really need every small trick o this scale -the base is 20x20mm (old Epic square base). However it's really hard to make a correct force composition -there's only hipothetical (not historical) OOB in case of the US IIIrd Corps. Only a small part of it was ever deployed phisically in Germany! The others only existed in paper/on POMCUS sites.. US OOBs are more confusing (than soviets for example -all the WARPAC/soviet units had the same OOB -easy to understand), having battalions attached to different brigades, confusing unit numbers, etc.. I totally don't understand the reason of this, but I try to stick to the historical infrmations/facts. |
