Here are my first tries at painting 6mm GHQ minis.


I basically kept to the painting advice Revell gives for their 1:35 modells, and used the Revell colors.

Here you see how my cats get their spots:



And i don't know why GHQ doesn't sell their 3rd world warriors pack as German cold war troops - they are a perfect fit! Here a direct comparison between West German infantry and NVA troops (russian infantry model)


So, how are they? Any criticism? Preferably constructive Wink

Hi,

They look good. One thing I will say is in 1/35th scale the colours look ok on the tanks. But in 1/300th you may want to experiment with shades that show up a bit more. In 1/300th the colours can get lost when you stand a couple of feet away.

Single tanks work better:


I took your advice and re-painted them in a lighter base colour, then added a darker wash. You don't see much of it in these photos, but i will try to make better one as soon as my digital camera is back from the vacation.
