While building up forces for a French mid-80's armoured division, some armoured engineers vehicles were needed. The AMX-VCG was still the main mine clearing vehicle at that time but no one makes this in 6mm. So, I had a go at this simple conversion, taking a Heroics and Ros (old Skytrex) AMX-VCI, adding a dozer blade, and Scotia 1 tonne trailer, plus some bent copper wire and a bit of plasticard for the jib and support. The result, with a bit of paint applied.

This is a good example to everyone who has a store of old vehicles that have lost their turrets and wonders what to do! I hope to do something similar!Cool

Cheers everyone. Got to say, it was a pretty straightforward conversion, but I was pleased with the way they turned out in the end.

As Ian observes, French armour does tend to burn at times, given the AMX-30s good hit points but poor save. Should make them an interesting force to play!
