Posted on 01 December 2013 at 17:25:53 GMT And another perfect example of what Im coming to call you'r "neon pop-out" painting techniue, Nog. I'm going to do some of 08's new SF figs in this style and I plan to post a tutorial. Could you thus please do me two favors? 1) Tell me what you call your technique, and... 2) Tell me your real name so that I can properly attribute this technique. |

Posted on 28 February 2014 at 16:15:44 GMT Progress made: Iranian "HMG" support - the trusty ZU-23-2 D-30 howitzers, M113 and Chieftains with HQ. Some fresh painted turkish M60A3 included at the rear line. This is my roadmap today: Much support ready Tank brigade coming on, its MechInf vehicles too. HQs and CO on the way Strong need for regulars. Well, but who likes to paint numbers of poor boring infantry? Enjoy! |

Posted on 28 February 2014 at 22:58:46 GMT Really like those Chieftains, *very* nice (although it's all good ). I like the road map idea as well, but I'd be too disorganised to follow one |

Posted on 20 April 2014 at 18:09:31 GMT CO, a truck and air support: a Su-24 swing wing bomber. Co holds a M577 and a M113 like the real deal, plus some tents and a bunch of foxholes. Truck is a FMTV truck mini painted to look like a homemade iranian one. Iran operates a couple of Su-24s. Guess they will not use them for direct battlefield support, but hey, how often do you see a Su-24 at the table? So here we go For the game it uses the cost and profile of the F-4 Phantom. Enjoy! |

Posted on 21 April 2014 at 16:06:07 GMT 16th Independent Tank Brigade MechInf Btl. with M113 and support (enginers, ATGW, arty) to the left, tank Btl. with Chieftains and support (recce Scorpions, arty) to the right. I am 1 coy of Chieftains short. Air support is a Su-24. Army choppers are lacking. If I add another MechInf Btl. (BTR-60) and some dothats I've got the whole tank brigade together |

Posted on 05 January 2015 at 19:09:46 GMT Added a CH-47 Chinook to the forces. Sorry for poor image. The large rotors provide a perfect anti-flash screen Working at the moment at some trucks (Iranian Sepher, converted from Humvee miniatures ) and the third Chieftain coy. |

Posted on 21 January 2015 at 23:32:54 GMT Yes. Sanded off the grill at the hood and the rear sidewalls and added the longer troop compartment from styrene, as well as a rear bumper. Windows are painted on. Didn't paint the central support of the front screen. 3rd (and last) Chieftain coy ready: Next steps: Painting a SCUD to be used as iranian MLRS in the game. Also want to make some more conversions: Chieftain AVLB (bridgelayer) and some M60 conversions for my Turkish forces (here at the forum too). Enjoy! |
