I'm wanting to buy a 80ies U.S. armored division, and I found this list from GHQmodels: http://www.ghqmodels.com/pdf/35United%20States....

Is list usable for CWC? It would be perfect if it was, because there's absolutely loads of information, along with a large amount of lists in that PDF

The GHQ lists are pitched at about the right level IIRC as are the orbats on the Fire & Fury website. And Mark Bevis' Micromark lists can probably give you actual real unit info on a wide swath of units!

A full armoured division is a *lot* of stuff though - You might be better to look at a brigade or even a reinforced battalion. Top end NATO stuff is really expensive - even in a big game with a lot of points on table you'll get surprisingly few Abrams!
