In an old pack of unmade 10mm tanks I found a minifigs T80. It's a beautifully proportioned model , with a separate hatch, and so I made it up and painted it as a 1st Chechen war example.So I ordered some more ....
What I got from minifigs wasn't the same moulding. I can't bash minifigs, but I didn't like these T80s. I have a shed load of the Takara T80s, but wanted the same model as I initially bought .I asked minifigs when they were in Soton and I have a vague recollection they told me the moulds got scrapped as it was underscale.Does anyone know anything about this ? Would minifigs USA be different ?

Ah yes, they did change the T-80 and the T-54/55. Minifigs USA are no more, so you are stuck with the new moulds I'm afraid

On the bright side I found a number of white metal n gauge 1930's renault paris buses in the same box (bizarre , I know). But- I reckon at least one is becoming a transport unit for my WW2 Wehrmacht units !
