I suppose this will have as many answers as what colour to paint soviet vehicles but Im mainly after what colour green to paint British Army vehicles.

Ive thought of Catachan green but think this might be to dark on the table any thoughts

I use Valljero Grey/Green, it's far to light, but gives good results in 1/300th.

You could also try Tamyia JAAF Olive Drab.

They are tonally similar to, but much lighter than US WWII Olive Drab.

I used Vallejo 'Russian uniform' on my Brits. I also use a white undercoat so maybe the Russian Uniform wouldn't look right over a black undercoat!

It depends on the vehicle, any vehicle sent from the US would be olive drab, where as any british made vehicle or US vehicles made in the uk would be british khaki drab (Tamiya do this but I can't remember the code number.)eg, a sherman firefly would be khaki drab where as a M4A1 would be Olive drab. Hope this helps

I have a Sultan that I bought from QRF's "Very British Sale". I painted it in Citadel Catachan Green with a light drybrushing of Camo Green. I finished it in the green/black stripe pattern.

FWIW I use Vallejo Brown Violet (which is neither brown nor violet) with German Grey for the black stripes.
