Posted on 10 November 2010 at 02:41:29 GMT Picking your collective brains again, which supplier has the best 6mm infantry? From what I have seen GHQ look among the best, but I'd like to hear the views of those a bit more experienced with this scale than myself, cheers in advance. |

Posted on 10 November 2010 at 05:50:31 GMT I have GHQ and Heroics and Ros figures. The GHQ are somewhat better than H&R, but H&R have a better mix of figures per pack. As for cost H&R are the better choice, even here in the states. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bob_mackenzie/6mm%... has a comparison of the various manufacturers though it is from several years ago. |

Posted on 10 November 2010 at 06:38:02 GMT I just bought a pack each of Warpac and NATO infantry (new helmets) and support. Send speedily and look fantastic. My vote's for H&R hands down. GHQ great models but the detail - I find - is unnecessary....H&R better all round! S. |

Posted on 10 November 2010 at 09:30:59 GMT At l;east one of the US WWII GHQ figures is firting a drain pipe, supposed to be a rifle. Unlike Mark I rarly lose any when I'm taking them of the sprues, and only aout 1 in 200 are miscasts. For small to large RCL I use the scotia ones, with H&R crew. Overall it's a matter of taste, all of the H&R, GHQ and MM stuff paint up well, H&R are the most competitive, MM most roubust, and GHQ very slightly more detailed. IanS |

Posted on 10 November 2010 at 09:53:27 GMT I'm pretty well sticking to H&R. Apart from the excellent value and service from Andy, I think they scale better with the vehicles. And also, being slightly smaller than the other ranges, I'm less tempted to paint highlights on the faces! Andy |

Posted on 10 November 2010 at 11:22:58 GMT Hi I like the 6mm infantry that Magister Militum stock (they were formerly Hallamrk). Most groups are prone or crouching so they are quite robust from a gaming point of view. If they stood upright they'd (like GHQ imho) be about 7 or 8mm tall but crouched and prone they look fine beside the 'bigger' manufacturers vehicles (CinC, GHQ, Skytrex). They do look a bit large beside things like motorcycle combinations and jeeps but there's less of those about in CWC than in BKC! |

Posted on 10 November 2010 at 11:54:57 GMT VonTed, When I used H&R the issue was not so much the scaling between infantry and vehicles it was the basing. The bases on the figures added almost a millimetre to the height and even using thin plasticard for the multi bases they seemed to tower over unbased vehicles. May not be some much of an issue if vehicles are based too. |
