Mainly it self. But lately it has become more involved in peacekeeping operations across Africa.

Pendraken -just Vietnam

South Africa -
v SWAPO (South West Africa People's Organisation) in Namibia/South West Africa.

v MPLA in Angola(and Zambia)supporting UNITA.(and possibly v some Cubans in Angola, but accounts differ)

Covert support for RENAMO in Mozambique - more a dirty war of assassination and terrorism on both sides than a military conflict.

Some clandestine support for Rhodesia - mostly materiel and Canberra bombing missions vs ZANLA and ZIPRA (Before little Bobby Mugabe started massacring his Ndebele ZIPRA allies.

And of course anti-terrorist actions v the ANC.

And don't forget that Pendraken's Vietnam Aussies, with an appropriate paint-job, will do you fine as SADF...bush hats & SLRs is a good combo Smile

You're welcome - and Minifigs have African insurgents who'll do you for Angolans/Cubans...you'll have to be satisfied with predominantly infantry scraps though [at least for SADF] as there's nothing out there in 10mm for vehicles [Ratels etc]...which is why, for bigger scraps, I went with 6mm in the end:

Have a look here for the Pendraken Aussie Vietnam figs [& then imagine them with a different paintjob!]: http://nikharwood.pbworks.com/CWC+Australian+ba...

I'm going to do 10mm SADF / Angolan infantry at some point though...
