It has probably been asked a half a dozen times already and I'm just failing my search-fu rolls, and if so, I apologize.

Does anyone make modern, say 1980s, 6mm French infantry? I've got a pretty decent sized CWC French force, but my infantry are US army models pretending to be French. I'd really like to get some actual French minis. Barring that, what is the best 'proxy' figures?

Thanks all,

closest would probably be British paras/marines, or the ones with SA-80 in helmet, the Paras/Mrairins are in Beret, so would be closer.

GHQ, Heroics and Ros, and Irregular Miniatures do Brits with SA80.

As far as I know these are the only 6mm infantry models with 'bullpup' style weapons and as such they are the closest you can currently get to french with FAMAS.

That they do tho' they list the squad MG as a MG3 afaik it should be a AA52 (certainly was in early 90s when some were training in the UK) no photo so can't tell if its just a typo.

I don't think that Hallmark made/make specific figures for French. I think they have made up French company packs from figures from other national ranges. since most Hallmark figures are prone they'd probably be fine anyway!
