Pretty. But I, too, am confused about the red helemts. Do the French really uses those?

I guess the red helmets are kind of like tail lights on your car. You only see the red lights when they are speeding away from you

My guess would be that they are represent units like Paras, and are actually suppose to be berets, rather then helmets. That would be my guess anyway.
