The answer is whatever size you want.

I put my 6mm on 1 inch x 1/2 inch (25mm x 12mm) because I like smaller bases.

I use 40mm frontage x 30mm depth for 15mm.

My 10mm BKC infantry are on Flames of War 'medium' bases.

All my 6mm are on 30mm squares as a hold-over from playing the Modern Spearhead rules system.

I use 3mm and started with 30mm x 30mm for inf, vehicles and tanks. But I saw a guy at the Ambush Alley forum that uses FoW small and medium bases. And the MBT look great on the medium FoW base.

Take a look at this page (my own forum - can't post pictures here): http://www.twins4ever.dk/cougarscorner/index.ph...

I can't decide if I want same base size for inf and their transports (medium), add a strip of inf more to the medium base (3 of the strip with four guys) OR go for the small ones.
And I need some space left for the ID.

I know this is a positive problem, but I can't make my mind up Smile

I'd go with the medium all around, even for the infantry.

Thanks,

Would you add another 4 man strip to the base or leave it that way ?

I think they look fine numbers wise especially if you're adding an info strip! I'd have put the LMG team in front of the infantry though!

I'm seriously impressed by these infantry, the detail is incredible!

I use 50x50mm bases for my 3mm stuff, including infantry. Which is pretty close in size to the FOW medium sized bases. An example can be seen at this link:

(pic is of Soviet Combined Arms assault: tanks leading, followed by Infantry and APCs).

cheers,

atbishnak: Thanks for the pictures - very inspiring.

atFenton: My bases is Litko 0,8mm plywood. I have some of the "official" in plastic and they are a little thicker than the 0,8mms.

Cougar..I noticed in your blog/forum that they were from Litko...Like you I have noticed too late after posting the non edit capability hereGrin

I also didnt realise that Litko ( though I should have) did that size of base...you have now got me thinking again

Hi Fenton,

I realized that Litko has them one month ago so for me it was a pretty easy buy, since I used bases from them for my 10mm, 15mm and 20mm.

Top quality and those 0,8 is just great.

And I'm a member - thanks for reminding me. I normally use forums and have forgot everything about Yahoo.

Cheers
Mark

PS. I think its a little sad its not possible to post pictures and edit. But I'm pretty sure Pete has his reasons, security as one of them.
